Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 3 Review

Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 3 The lovely sherried goodness from Glendronach is always a dram i enjoy and this 3rd batch from their cracking Cask Strength series is no different.

Loads of fresh and dried fruits intermix here and along with the higher strength, non chill filtering and lack of E-150a this has such a lovely sweet syrupy mouthfeel that you just can't help but want to drink it all.

A delicious example of what can be done with Cask Strength whiskies, thank you to Glendronach for the official sample.

If you want to try it yourself pop over to Master of Malt who have this bad boy in stock.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

A big kapow of dried fruits and fresh fruits mixed together, it's like a salad of fresh honeydew and Galia melon and sharp kiwi with prunes, raisins and dried apricots and hints of doughy bread with lumps of malted barley and porridge oats.

Palate

acetone hits big here to begin with then tames down and becomes very malty and doughy with dried fruits and honeydew melon, this is lovely

Finish

malty and melon
