Inchmurrin / That Boutique-y Whisky Company

Inchmurrin Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Review

Tomatin 12yr Burns Malt (The Whisky Barrel) Another first time distillery for me as i try the Inchmurrin Batch 1 from That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

A really interesting, very sweet and honeyed dram that just stcks to your ribs on the way down, oily, creamy, syrupy and totally fruity, whats not to like.

Go get one now from Master of Malt.

Thanks to the guys at Maverick Drinks for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Another one that i really had to pop my nose right into the glass to get anything out of, lots of honey and almost a touch of seville orange marmalade in here, there's a hint of dark fruit juice, maybe ribena or vimto but the honey, specifically fresh honey straight from the beehive is the main note here.

Palate

thick and oily, a touch malty to begin with then honey and marmalade with a hint of cloves, oh this is sticky and sweet yumminess

Finish

Long sticky, oily and sweet
