Glenmorangie Companta Review

Glenmorangie Companta The latest in a line of Private Edition collection from Glenmorangie this dram has been matured in Grand Cru casks from Clos de Tart and those of a lusciously sweet fortified wine from Côtes du Rhône.

Winey, sweet, fruity and spicy this really is quite an interesting dram, although for me it does hide that normal distillery character of sweet citrus notes and vanilla that i love with Glenmorangie

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Initially this comes in strongly with some lovely woody notes and before a touch of sweet vanilla essence with red liqorice laces and touches of red wine tannins and dessert wine, there's also a large dose of proper lyons wine gums and midget gems in here along with a slight hint of oak filled wood.

Palate

Very spicy to begin with then it goes quite sweet wine gums and pepper with more red liqorice

Finish

wood spice and lots of wine gums
