Ardbeg Blasda Review

Ardbeg Blasda Well seeing as today is Ardbeg Day I really had to have at least one more Ardbeg on the site today so have plumpted for the Ardbeg Blasda.

This is an unusual one for Ardbeg as it's only peated at 8ppm instead of the 24ppm of normal Ardbegs so is very light and spritely, it's a stunning dram though and one i'd highly recommend.

It is however getting difficult to get a hold of with most of the main whisky retailers currently sold out, so it is worth a wee trip to the Ardbeg Online Shop to get a bottle.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Still has slight aromas of that distinctive Ardbeg nose with peat hints amongst mint, cocoa, digestive biscuits and fruit flavouring

Palate

smooth and creamy custard creams more fruit flavouring like in parma violets or floral gums and slight peatyness

Finish

decent length still a touch of peat but with some defined ice cream there too
