SMWS 5.36 - Rubbing White Tiger Balm on Your Forehead Review

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society Part of a short series of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottlings this dram, the 5.36 "Rubbing White Tiger Balm on Your Forehead" is from the current Christmas 2013 Outturn.

This dram shows exactly what "single cask" differences are as it's nowhere like anything i've had from the distillery this comes from. Matured in a 2nd fill ex Sauterness Wine Cask this dram tickled my fancy and it really worked for me.

Interestingly i'd debated whether or not to buy a bottle of this as i'd heard very mixed opinions on it but i am so glad I took the plunge and bought one.

Sold out online, and likely in all the venues, your best chance to try this would be to pop in soon to a venue and hope they have one on the bar to try.

It's drams like these that make me glad i'm a member of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society
