Highland Park / Highland Park

Highland Park Ragnvald Review

Highland park Ragnvald I previously reviewed the first three Highland Park Warriors (Travel Retail Only) Series and over the next few days i'll be adding the reviews of the second batch of three continuing with this one the Highland Park Ragnvald.

I'd been waiting on the right time to have these drams after gratefully receiving official samples from Highland Park (thanks guys) and so when I seen that Steve Rush @thewhiskywire from The Whisky Wire was having a Tweet Tasting i had to gatecrash and join in with the second half.

There are very few drams out there on the market today with a nose and palate as good as this, this is a distinguished old gent of a dram, which will knowck your socks off and is available at Travel Retail for around the €400 mark.

Thanks again to Highland Park for the samples and to Steve Rush @thewhiskywire for letting me gatecrash the Tweet Tasting.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

sweetness with pickled lemons, edges of malty smoke wafting through, some swiss chocolate and mixed dried fruit, lots of gentle notes in here, it's an old distinguished gent of a dram and this nose is genuinely out of this world.

Palate

gentle fruity sweetness with a kick of sliced ginger, vanilla notes and christmas cake spices

Finish

grated ginger lingers a little
