Ayrshire Batch 1 (that boutique-y whisky company) The mad scientists at That Boutique-y Whisky Company have done it again and come up with yet another cracker of a dram in the form of this Ayrshire Batch 1.

This dram, which comes from the Ladyburn distillery, is an aged cracker with the distillery having closed the year i was born (1975) and has been sleeping for the last 38 years or more, although this bottle is NAS the whisky inside has to be that age or older due to when the distillery closed.

Nose

Pear drops and pear upside down cake Some undercooked dough and a touch of toffee Sauce a hint of mint sauce With hints of freshly cut grass

Palate

Masses of spices with vanilla coated peppercorns & Cinnamon sticks with cherry Bakewells

Finish

long lasting spice
