Arran Devils Punchbowl Chapter II Angels & Demons Review

Arran Devils Punchbowl Chapter 2 Sometimes when i get samples by the time they arrive, i sample them and post their reviews on here they are pretty rare, or even sold out, unfortuanately this Arran Devils Punch Bowl Chapter II Angels and Demons seems to be that way with the 666 UK bottles seemingly sold out, but if you can find one snap it up.

The second in this series, this edition really does show off some of the best that Arran can produce with edges of smoke and fruit, it really is a cracker of a dram.

Thanks to Arran Distillers for the official sample of this dram

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

The initial notes that hit me are good quality Oloroso sherry notes, that dried fruit and mixed nuts with a sour/bitterness that comes from the European oak, then there's a whiff of chardonnay oak wine and a slight hint of bitter chocolate and a very light malty smoke. touches of citrus fruit come out after its left in the glass a while.

Palate

wooooft this has got a devlish side, very bitter dark chocolate and dried fruits, there's mixed nuts and a hint of smoke, glorious hints of crushed almonds and cherry bakewells

Finish

this comes in and gives it heat and wooft its gorgeous
