Glenrothes 2001 Vintage Review

Glenrothes 2001 Vintage Recently released by Berry Bros & Rudd this 2001 vintage of The Glenrothes is a really interesting dram and shows a lot of character from this lovely distillery.

Lots of Malty notes along with a creamy yoghurt like taste make this a really lovely dram that is easy to drink and an idea cooler night in the the garden dram.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Initially i get quite a strong malty note that falls off to more of a sandalwood/incense type note as it develops in the glass, there's a hint of citrus that reminds me of limes and naval oranges with a creamy greek yoghurt underneath.

Palate

Muller cherry yoghurt, creamy and and slightly bitter, notes of key lime pie and malt loaf

Finish

slightly bitter and drying with a dark fruit lasting.
