Aberlour aBunadh Batch 44 Review

Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 44 I've had a few of the previous batches of this cask strength sherry monster and they really do change batch to batch whilst retaining a lot of the underlying distillery character.

This batch does have some rubbery notes but nothing that really detracts from the fact it's a very nice sherried young dram, a touch of water easies the rubber for me also.

You can still pick up this batch for under £40 at The Whisky Exchange and i would highly recommend you try it.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

the nose on this is huge, there's a little rubber, more pencil eraser than anything else, once my nose was passed that i got lots of dark fruits, plums, raisins, sultanas and a touch of apple, there's also a bit of liquorice and some chewing tobacco.

Palate

rubbery around the edges of the tongue, there is some dark fruits in here again, and again some chewing tobacco

Finish

rubbery and fruity but goes on forever.
