Glendronach Cask Strength batch 2 Review

Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 2 I only ever managed to get a tiny wee dram of the Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 1 so i was really excited when my Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 2 sample arrived with the postman. (thanks to Glendronach for the sample).

From my wee taste of Batch 1 i knew i would like this whisky, then seeing other reviews, so i was really pleased when i dived in and found that it really was a gorgeous whisky.

Priced around the £50 mark and available from all good whisky specialists such as Master of Malt

oh i'm in love already and it's just the first cursory whiff over the edge of the glass, it's sweet treacle tart and dark ripe plums with more ripe dark fruits and syrup. like tree sap, some grass and the gentle kiss of oak round this off can i have this as an aftershave please ?

Palate

slightly chalky then it's huge dried fruit notes, dried apricots, plums, and chewing tobacco with a touch of liqourice

Finish

long, warming, makes you want more....
