Jura Turas Mara Review

Jura Turas Mara This very recent Travel Retail exclusive release from the Jura Distillery had me all excited, i think everyone knows just how much i love this distillery.

A touch of ginger spice and a whiff of chocolate, orange and vanilla add up to a cracker of a dram that drops in at under the £40 mark for a 1L bottle, if you're passing through an airport and looking for something a touch different from Jura then i'd certainly recommend giving this a try.

Thanks to Jura for the official sample

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

i'm first struck by a note of grated ginger, quite spicy and prickly on the nose, but theres an underlying toffeeness that reminds me of the toffee pennies in a box of quality street then there's a gentle whiff of vanilla essence and some mandarin orange. AS it sits in the glass it begins to develop a touch of terrys dark chocolate orange

Palate

prune juice with a touch of bitter lemons and black pepper, pomegranate seeds and over ripe nectarines with a touch of tree sap and mapleleaf

Finish

bitter cloudy lemonade and grapefruit with plums
