Cutty Sark Cask Strength & Carry On (Caskstrength.net) Review

Cutty Sark Cask Strength & Carry On (Caskstrength.net) Time to carry on with Blends month and this lovely Cutty Sark Cask Strength & Carry On (Caskstrength.net) bottle.

I was lucky enough to win this sample from Master of Malt and i will be heading back for a bottle. I was initially put off by talk of it having some smoke which i really worried about with Cutty Sark as i'm a huge fan of the clean fresh easy going nature of Cutty Sarks nomal bottles, but i needn't have worries.

For under £35 this is a bargain, go buy one from Master of Malt now.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

initial nose is quite chewy, as in caramel toffee sweets and treacle scones, there's a real sweetness about this that reminds me of lemon and lime flavoured sweets but without the tarte bitterness that comes with them. there's a deep malty note that gives it a bit more balance.

Palate

lemon and lime pie with cream topping and some bitter toffee chews and that deep malty note once again, very drinkable.

Finish

is this really 51.4% tastes way more drinkable than that.
