Bruichladdich PC 9 Prediction Review

Bruichladdich Prediction Massive thanks to Danny (@dramstats) of the Dramstats Whisky Blog for this sample of Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 9 Prediction (the picture also comes from Danny's Blog)

This 63.5% ABV whisky spent 9 years in a bourbon cask before being finished for 6 months in a Chateau Le Tour Cask which has given it added layers of sweetness.

A cracking dram and i really need to try more of the valinch releases from Bruichladdich.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

peat smoke but it's soft and gentle and the closest i can think is a gentle pipe smoke, but a touch fruity also, there's ctunchy green apple in there and some wonderful floral notes that entwine with the gentle smoke and fruit.

Palate

the peat smoke is there, it's lovely and it has a gentle tinglyness through it also, a touch of floral goodness comes in there too

Finish

the peat smoke holds on and theres a tingly sensation from the abv that works too.
