Bruichladdich The Laddie Ten Review

Bruichladdich The laddie Ten Tasted as part of the Twitter Tasting organised by Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from TheWhiskyWire.com this time featuring a range of expressions from Islays Bruichladdich distillery

Bruichladdich The Laddie Ten

Next up was the Laddie Ten, now i'd heard a lot of good things about this, not least a number of people saying it was their dram of the year during last year so i was really hyped about trying it. This is the first full 10 year old from Bruichladdich since the distillery fired back into action.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

light and a touch floral with edges of fruit, mainly banana skin and some citrus like lime and lemon, touches of malt there too. sniffing again there is a touch of smoke in there too.

Palate

definitely has a peatyness to the palate with malt loaf and banana skin, theres a sweet floral taste also.

Finish

the peatyness lingers with a lovely floral note
