Glenfarclas / Glenfarclas

Glenfarclas 105 Review

Glenfarclas 105 I've had a few Glenfarclas drams now and been quite impressed with the lovely sherry notes and sweetness, so much so i want to try a lot more.

This is a big dram with no age statement and a whopping 60% ABV and it shows, take care with this one, it really does bite.

A bargain at around £40 a bottle why not pick one up from The Whisky Exchange

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

huge hit of treacle and caramel with dried fruit, not quite christmas cake but on the same path, the sherry influence here is massive and the nose is gorgeous with touches of malt biscuits in the background.

Palate

more huge sherry treacle and caramel sweetness with malted biscuits and touches of seville orange sweetness.

Finish

hides the alcohol content well, sweet and treacley.
