Powers Johns Lane Review

Powers John's Lane This whisky was tasted as part of the Single Pot Still Whiskey Tasting, more information on which is available here

Powers John's Lane

A single pot still release of Powers whisky. It's matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, and named after the distillery where it was first made, now sadly closed.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Oh now this reminds me of Auchentoshan, light and bourbon influenced with a touch of something floral and sweet underneath, touches of oaky goodness and a little bit of nestle Cheerios in there too.

Palate

more of the bourbon influence, sweet and slightly floral with a touch of creamy oily goodness, touches of a malty biscuit, maybe even some strong tea dunked hob nobs

Finish

Oh this is a tingler, all over mouth tingling sensation, lovely stuff
