Amrut Fusion Review

Amrut Fusion I've had a few Amrut whiskies in the past and enjoyed them, tasted blind it's very difficult to say that it wasn't a Scotch and Amrut Fusion is no different.

Amrut Fusion is distilled from barley from both Scotland and India, thus the name Fusion and is a very nice dram indeed.

This is still available from Master of Malt, pick one up before they disappear.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

oOoOoOoOoOo this is really interesting theres an initial note of gentle peat smoke, like passing through a traditional village with peat chimneys pushing out some reek. Some acetone with underlying that is some lovely sweetness and malt and cereal, like a mix of maltloaf and cheerios.

Palate

touches of smoke, with crushed peppercorns and herbal leaf, with cheerios and a touch of all bran.

Finish

acetone with touch of spice and pepper
