SMWS 24.110 - A winter warmer by the fireside Review

My best mate, and long term #dramlaxing buddy David Alexander recently joined up as a member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society alongside myself so we had a wee evening where we made our way through the Four single cask beauties

First up was the delicious 24.110 "A winter warmer by the fireside"

This cracking speysider shows how a sherry cask should be used, lovely sweet notes with hints of leather, you can't ask for more.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Like a piece of newly polished mahogany thats had a kiss of varnish, tulips and a lillies floral, Kola Kubes and a touch of suede leather, a touch of water opens lots of toffee sweetness

Palate

toffee and floral sweetness, more furnite varnish and leather.

Finish

heats you up from your toes
