Tormore / Master of Malt

Tormore 28 Year Old (Master of Malt) Review

Tormore 28 year Old Master of Malt When this sample arrived on my doorstep from Master of Malt i had actually never really heard of Tormore before and had to do a wee bit of research to find out about it.

This Speyside distillery do bottle their own but it is not easy to get a hold of and there are not a massive amount of Independant Bottlings around either.

This 28 year old single cask bottling is most definitely worth the money and i'd highly recommend that you try popping to Master of Malt to pick one up before they sell out.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

oh i like the nose on this, definitely aged as it comes with a smoothness despite it's high ABV, there's a fruitiness about this that comes with hints of summer berries, strawberry and raspberry and a wee touch of blueberry and a touch of white vanilla chocolate.

Palate

definitely woody, touches of oak and sweetness, quite creamy but fruity, like a bitter fruit cheesecake

Finish

really long, creamy, almost creme brule like with more summer berry sweetness.
