Jura / Berry Bros and Rudd

Jura 1976-2012 (Berry Bros & Rudd) Review

Jura 1976-2012 Berry Bros and Rudd I was really disappointed at the time to have missed out on the Berry Bros and Rudd twitter tasting due to this dram so was over the moon when my good friend David (@TIA568B) from Glen Untitled sent me a drams worth from his sample.

I left this for a special occasion and had it on Christmas Day.

You can pick up this cracking dram from The Whisky Exchange

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

little whiff of smoke disappears quickly though and is replaced by sherry sweetened raisins and sultanas and light hints of treacle. Reminds me of the caramel i make with extra brown sugar. As it sits in the glass it takes on a sugared almond note a touch of pine fresh sweetness.

Palate

mixed nuts and pine cones coated in treacle with a slice of christmas cake

Finish

tingly and sweet with a lasting nuttiness
