creamy, Coastal, seafood, driftwood and bbq'd fish with sea air, liquorice, hints of ozone and fruits coming through tingles of juicy pears hiding in here too
Another from the Berry Bros and Rudd tasting pack with Royal Mile Whiskies is this small batch Ardmore is ex Islay casks.
Ardmore is a dram that due to the supermarket pricing gets a fair bit of stick but it's a really tasty smoky dram that comes with something sweet and interesting underneath.
Usually peated to around 12-16PPM this small batch of around 5 casks has been filled into ex-islay casks, from the Laphraoig distillery who are now all part of the same stable, and shows something really interesting with this level of peatiness coming in.
Coastal BBQ seafood is something that will put some people off, described as Cullen Skink on the night it is a note i fully agree with and appreciate, this is creamy, fruity, seafoody and coastal, utterly delicous too.
If this sounds like a dram you would like grab one now from Royal Mile Whiskies.
