Old Ezra 7 Year Old Barrel Strength Review

Lux Row TastingThe last of the four drams tasted as part of The Whisky Wire Lux Row Distillers Tweet Tasting this was a bit special.

This Old Ezra 7 Year Old Barrel Strength is most definitely a proper sipping bourbon, even at full strength.

Every now and again a bourbon comes along that knocks your socks off and this is one of those, full of delicious sweet treacle notes alond with creamy nutty and chocolate, my notes of this are pretty short and to the point as i spent so much time just enjoying the nose and flavours.

Around the £55 price mark, this is a dram you could enjoy sipping on a cold Scottish winters evening with no problems at all.

Make sure you follow Tweet Tastings on Twitter to be up to date with all the potential tastings that you could be lucky enough to be a part of.

Thanks to Lux Row Distillers and The Whisky Wire for this Tweet Tasting.

Tasting Notes & Details

Treacle scones, thick sweet, syrupy, good quality vanilla ice cream (not the crappy asda savers stuff) creamy and rich, hints of Reeces peanut butter cups and grapfruit segments.

The Reeces Peanut Butter cups come first then the ice cream (was this made in conjunction with Ben and Jerrys?) sweet (but not overly so) with that creamy note and treacle toffee again, delicious sipping bourbon

sweet, sour, long, delicious
