Irish Single Malt no.1 13 year old batch 3 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Review

Irish Single Malt no.1 13 year old batch 3 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) I have been lucky enough to try a great number of whiskies and whiskeys over the years and I am always happy to see some interesting Irish whiskeys as i tend to enjoy their generally lighter notes, reminiscent of Lowland Scotch.

This close to St Patricks Day sees us adding in a few Irish drams, with more to come over the weekend.

I reviewed batch 2 of this That Boutiquey Company dram a while back and this one was tasted at the end of 2018 as part of a tweet tasting.

There are notes of pear drops and crunchy fresh apple, a real orchard delight, from this dram, hints of spice on the palate and finish come in the form of dijon mustard and mustard seeds adding warmth but it is not overly spicy, in fact it just adds that touch of something interesting to it.

This is a really tasty drop of whiskey and i could easily drink my way through a fair whack of this.

Pick one up at specialists like Master of Malt.

Thanks to The Whisky Wire for including me on the twitter tasting.
