Jura The Paps 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review

Jura The Paps 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Last one in this series of new Jura Travel retail drams, this is the 19 year old The Paps, named after the famous mountains on Jura.

This is a real mix of fruity notes, dunnage warehouse dusty notes and milky coffee notes, a really interesting nose that captures your attention pretty quickly. The palate keeps these up and adds a big peppery kick to round it off and add complexity.

Very much an interesting dram and for any Jura lover this will go down a real treat.

If you're interested in one you can preorder before you travel at World Duty Free

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

This is more like it, bittersweet fruits, dragonfruit, papaya, kiwi, some dunnage warehouse notes, raisins and grape ice cream, some "green" wood notes and hints of oak leaf and milky coffee (flat white)

Palate

Theres a hint of dusty, peppery smoke, those bittersweet fruits again, definitely obscure tropical fruits, more of that green wood also, then a long lasting ground pepper kick

Finish

Peppery, long, woody
