Bank Note 5 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky (AD Rattray) Review

Bank Note 5 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky (AD Rattray) I'm definitely one of those whisky drinkers who likes to poo poo those who moan about blends, blended whiskies, whether blended malts or blended scotch are a huge part of the industry and should not be overlooked.

This 5 year old blended scotch, yup they're even brave enough to say how old it is, is a tasty dram, it has that popcorn note that i get from youngish spirit, but also lots of fruit, toffee and some floral notes. i could quite easily sip a fair amount of this dram of an evening just as it is but i'm sure this would also be great as a refreshing summer rink topped up with ginger ale with a wedge of lime.

Available to buy from specialists like Master of Malt.

Tasted as part of the AD Rattray tweet tasting, thanks to The Whisky Wire for including me on this tweet tasting.

Those lemon puff biscuits that @thewhiskyphiles talks about are there in abundance, buttery and a little toffee, the syrup from a tin of pears also
