Jura The Sound Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review

Jura The Sound Single Malt Scotch Whisky Hunt through this website and you will find i'm a bit of a fan of Jura, there are a fair plenty reviews on this site and i'm a real fan of the style, it would likely be described as my favourite distillery (well maybe after Rosebank).

This travel retail exclusive is matured in ex bourbon barrels then finished in Pedro Ximinez Sherry barrels and for me it works really well and is a pretty tasty dram.

Notes of coffee powder, candied fruits and pomegranate mollases with that Saline lactic note in Jura that i like, the palate adds sticky ribs and white pepper, this is definitely complex and interesting.

If you're interested in one you can preorder before you travel at World Duty Free.

Thanks to The Whisky Wire for including me on the tweet tasting.

Tasting Notes & Details

This is quite light, theres an initial note that reminds me of coffee powder, candied fruits, pomegranate molasses, a hint of salinity, and hiding in the background that typical Jura Lactic note.

Sweet and sticky, bbq'd sticky pork ribs, that smoke is there now, didn't get that on the nose, ground white pepper in here too, blood orange, that coffee powder also.

Coffee powder,sticky, ground pepper, sweet
