Walsh Whiskey / Walsh Whiskey

The Irishman Single Malt Irish Whiskey Review

The Irishman Single Malt Irish Whiskey Tasted as part of the Walsh Whiskey Tweet Tasting, the Irishman is the Walsh Whiskeys original whiskey and this soft gentle tasty Triple distilled dram is one of the four tasted.

Filled with juicy fruity notes this is one very easy going dram, there's just so much Galia Melon notes and some little peppery spice notes in here the balance is just perfect.

This isn't a terribly complex dram, but it's one that you could easily sit and sip all night long, this is totally a session dram, as it won't last more than one session.

Available from Specialists like Master of Malt.

Thanks to The Whisky Wire for organising this Tweet Tasting.

There's such a gentle sweet fruitiness to start with, lovely fresh Galia melon notes, some wet cardboard notes, pepper spiced vanilla sugar, sweet and peppery, a light hint of pencil shavings in the background.

Palate

Seriously soft and gentile, melon and mango flavoured marshmallow sweets, those soft fruit sweets without the shell, hints of something a little spicy on the background, touch of black pepper

Finish

Sort, gentle, easy going.
