Bruichladdich 2002 16 Year Old (Claxtons) Review

Bruichladdich 2002 16 Year Old (Claxtons) Bruichladdich is a distillery i have a real connection with normally, and there is a Bruichladdich in my top 5 every drams, this particular example was tasted as part of a tweet tasting featuring drams from the Claxtons independant bottlers.

This Bruichladdich dram has been in a Sherry Puncheon, and for me, thats what has been the nail in the coffin for it, my notes of rubbery, meaty, leathery, astringent are the notes i really dislike in Whisky, and this dram has it in spades.

I was really looking forward to this dram but it just doesn't work for me and I really could not recommend this at all, especially to anyone who gets any notes of Sulphur from whisky.

Grab this at specialists like Master of Malt.

Thanks to The Whisky Wire for including me in this tweet tasting.
