Elk Warning / Elk Warning

Elk Warning With Wild Strawberries Review

Elk Warning With Wild Strawberries So I’ve still been doing my supermarket sweep of ciders and this is one of a couple of Elk. Warning Swedish fruit ciders, this one being made with Wild Strawberries.

I was really excited about this, I’m a bit of a fan of fruity ciders but was left really disappointed with this, I certainly wont be buying this again.

There’s strawberry flavours there but it’s all that horrible artificial strawberry note, along with a note that reminds me of washbacks in a distillery, yeasty fermenting beer/wash note, quite dirty and not pleasant to drink.

If you want to try it, go for it, but this isn’t great at all.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

The nose is quite odd, it’s filled with very artificial plastic strawberry notes, along with hints of fermenting beer, quite yeasty, not the most pleasant on the nose to be fair.

Palate

Quite tarte strawberry notes, more of that slightly yeasty fermenting beer notes, quite artificial again

Finish

Bland, short, uninteresting
