Armorik Single Cask 8048 (La Maison Du Whisky) Review

Armorik Single Cask 8048 (La Maison Du Whisky) I've not had the most brilliant experiences with French whisky in the past so when Barry from The Whiskyphiles handed me a sample of this i was a little Sceptical.

I shouldn't have been though as it isseriously tasty, lots of fruity notes, floral notes and caramac chocolate (caramelised white chocolate for those that dont know) which are all notes i like in a whisky.

this is tasty, easy to drink and quite complex, a definite wish i had got a bottle of for me.

Already sold out at La Maison Du Whisky but there may be one or two still around or at auctions.

Thanks to Barry from The Whiskyphiles for the sample.

Tinned travel sweets, fruity but you can’t tie down exactly which fruit so almost artificial fruits, pencil shavings, old pressed flowers-left in a book, rose water, hints of decay and a splash of toffee

Palate

Caramac, dried caramelised white chocolate, wet cardboard, old dusty books, dusty dunnage warehouse with sweet barley sugar

Finish

Spicy, powdered floral notes
