Glen Moray 18yr Elgin Heritage Review

Glen Moray 18yr Elgin Heritage The top of the range dram from Glen Morays Elgin Heritage range and matured in a first fill american oak barrels is this 18 year old.

Spicier, richer and sweeter and more complex that the others in this range, lots of vanilla sugar and a serious mouthcoating viscous palate, this is a seriously tasty dram.

Looking for a bang for your buck dram this is it. hugely flavoursome, masses of fruit and sweetness and toffee and yumminess, and all for around £70/80 thats a bargain in my books.

Available to buy from Master of Malt

Thanks to Glen Moray for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

A richer more rounded dark fruit note than others in this stable, hints of toffee and spices, mainly nutmeg with a touch of cinnamon and allspice. The nose is deeper and much richer than the other two Elgin Heritage stablemates.

Rich and spicy, a large dose of sweet vanilla sugar, dark toffee sauce, rich and fruity and very viscous on the palate, vanilla sugar and sweet juicy melon

Sweet vanilla sugar, oily and ongoing
