Glen Moray 15yr Elgin Heritage Review

Glen Moray 15yr Elgin Heritage The next level dram from Glen Morays Elgin Heritage range and matured in a combination of american oak and european ex sherry oak.

theres more rich fruits creeping in here but it's seriously tasty and creamy with yoghurt and white chocolate mocha both making an appearance.

the 12 year old is still my favourite from the range but that is simply due to my love of ex american oak drams, if you want a hint of sherry this will rock your boat.

Available to buy from Master of Malt

Thanks to Glen Moray for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

The nose on this starts with a huge swathe of cereal notes, it’s weetabix and bran flakes, then lots of juicy tropical fruits in a spiced toffee sauce,

Palate

Rich and bold, spiced toffee again along with some apricots and yoghurt covered raisins, a little oak leaf sauce and a note that reminds me of a Starbucks white chocolate mocha.

Finish

Sweet, toffee, apricots, tasty
