Old Ballantruan 10 Year Old Review

Old Ballantruan 10Year old Tasted as part of The Whisky Wires OB10TT tweet tasting

This 10 Year old peated speaysider is a lot more mellow that it's younger NAS stablemate but still gives off a hugely enticing nose and a palate that is entirely moreish.

Remember to keep an eye out for this and you could even pick up a bottle from The Whisky Exchange

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

sweet and mellow, a little white winey, more hay and wheat notes, some smoked campfire mixed with fleshy fruits

Palate

tangy, oranges and soor plooms, with a smattering of weetabix and smoked salty kippers

Finish

very smooth again, lovely tangy notes
