Cadenheads Campbeltown Caribbean Rum Review

Cadenheads Campbeltown Caribbean Rum If you are ever lucky enough to vist any of the Cadenheads shops, especially those in either Edinburgh or Campbeltown (which are the only two i have been in) you will be presented with an array of casks that you can bottle some drams, and other spirits from.

This Caribbean Rum was bottled in their Campbeltown shop last October after a visit and was amongst the interesting goodies i picked up whilst there.

This is likely a blend of a couple of casks and not much else is known about it other than it's darn tasty and i wold highly recommend you visit one of these shops and try out one of these reasonably priced 20cl bottlings for yourself.

Tasting Notes & Details

before you even get your nose in the glass a sweet juicy toffee note with molasses comes wafting across to you, then flat cola, leafy vegetation and gentle aromatic wood spices combine with a slight hint of cinnamon sugar . With water more burnt sugar and molasses approach this is seriously mouthwatering

Initial arrival is sweet then the high abv kicks in with edges of airfix glue and plum skins, dark fruits waft through this and a tingle of sweetness creeps to the front of the mouth. With water more fruit arrives, dark skinned fruit peels and raisins with a caramel dipping sauce

Long lasting tingle with sweet glue like notes
