Benrinnes / The Single Malts of Scotland

Benrinnes 1995 Cask #9057 (The Single Malts of Scot land) Review

Benrinnes 1995 Cask #9057 (The Single Malts of Scot land) I've seen a number of Independent bottlers with Benrinnes from 1995, all have been very tasting and this one from Speciality Brands label The Single Malts of Scotland, is another beauty.

The nose is exceptionally fruity and the palate adds some gentle bitter fruits and dryness to keep this dram complex and endearing, really a delight to behold and a dram that I expect won't be about for long when people get to try it, delicious stuff.

Available to buy from from The Whisky Exchange

Thanks to Speciality Brands for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Freshly stewed apples and tropical fruit salad with a dusting of Chinese 5 spice powder, smoked chantilly cream and desicated coconut, banoffee pie and sticky syrup covered banana fritters comes though thick and delicious as it sits in the glass, in the background a slightly bitter greengage note

Juicy fruit chewing gum and tropical fruit salad, definite star fruit and greengage bitterness that draws the cheeks in a little and leaves them mouth a little dry, a hint of malt sticks and ovaltine with 5 spice

Ovaltine 5 spice and greengages drying
