Invergordon / Douglas Laing

Invergordon 1966 50yr XOP (Douglas Laing) Review

Invergordon 1966 50yr XOP (Douglas Laing) A 50 year old Invergordon Single Cask from Douglas Laings XOP range, well yes please would be the sensible answer from anyone, me included.

This sample was part of my Douglas Laing Fellows pack and was just out of this world.

This is filled with sweet fruits, which blows my mind for a whisky thats 50 years old, juicy grape juicy and tinned fruits, beeswax and vanilla infused sugar. whats not to like! for a 50 year old whisky this shows every sign of sweet juicy freshness and none of the overly woody notes you might expect, seriously tasty stuff.

Seems to be sold out everywhere but keep trying specialists like Master of Malt and The Whisky Exchange for future releases.

Thanks to Douglas Laing for the sample as part of my Fellows pack.
