Girvan / Douglas Laing

Girvan 50yr XOP (Douglas Laing) Review

Girvan 50yr XOP (Douglas Laing) a 50 year old single grain whisky, yes please, anything that is older than you are really has to be experienced to be believed and when you get to a certain age it becomes harder to find whiskies that are of that extra age.

This 50 year old from Girvan distillery in Ayrshire is a cracking dram full of sweet sugary notes along with aged toasted oak and butteryness. a seriously tasty dram.

my inital hunting around meant i couldn't find a bottle still available but keep looking and you might be able to get this exquisite 50 year old dram.

Thanks to Douglas Laing for the official sample as part of my fellow pack
