Bruichladdich / Claxtons

Bruichladdich 11yr Rioja Cask (Claxtons) Review

Auchentoshan 17 Year Old Small Batch (Wm Cadenhead)Another new independent bottler! i hear you cry, there's already too many of them producing damn good whisky! but yet here comes another.

Bottled by Claxton's Spirits this Bruichladdich from 2005 spent 11 years in a Rioja Wine Cask and if this is the kind of example we should expect from Claxton's then it's a damn good start.

Caramel, mocha, wine gums and more fruits that you can throw a stick at this is a delicious drop of whisky. It doesn't have that Top 5 drams ever feeling of the last time i had a Bruichladdich in Rioja but it is still damn good.

Watch out for Claxton's Spirits bottlings at your local specialist.
