Benriach 17 Year Old PX Finish Review

Benriach 17 Year Old PX Finish A replacement to the older Benriach 15 Year Old PX Finish this slightly older dram has been finished yet again in casks that previously held sweet Pedro Ximenez Sherry.

Full of that jammy sweetness and fruitiness this is a stonking dram that really works well for my palate, this is the type of dram you want to take home to the parents and get marry, sweet, juicy and well balanced.

One definitely to try, head over to Master of Malt for a bottle

Many thanks to Benriach for the official sample

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

first up is a wave of sweetness, fresh juicy fruit salad, juicy fruit chewing gum, sweet sticky toffees, underneath that is almost toasted/caramalised sugar / toffee notes with hints of oak and wood spices

Palate

much richer and fuller than the nose would suggest, full of gentle spices and fresh fruit salad, toasted nuts, almond paste and caramalised figs

Finish

yum ongoing yum
