Cragganmore 25 Year Old Review

cragganmore 25This Cragganmore Year Old was tasted as part of The Spirit of Speyside Dram 16 Winners tweet tasting organised by The Whisky Wire.

Part of the 2014 Diageo special releases, this dram is a serious one. Never had this before and at £400 odd a bottle there's a reason for that, this is a privilige to try.

Available to buy from specialists like Robert Graham.

Thanks to The Spirit of Speyside and The Whisky Wire for including me on this tasting.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Blueberry and apple pie, a real sweet, sticky nose, sugary syrup and ex bourbon cask char that borders on a cinder toffee, barley sugars and vanilla extract, lime marmalade and buttered pancakes.

Palate

Punchy and oily with the ABV, sweet but a hint of spice, lime marmalade, thick doughy scones and cinder toffee, tangy fruit peels and a hint of butter again

Finish

Sweet and tangy with a puff of cinder toffee
