Scallywag Cask Strength #2 (Douglas Laing) Review

Announcing Scallywag Cask Strength Batch 2This Scallywag Cask Strength #2 was part of the Sippin Speyside Facebook tasting by the guys at Douglas Laing

I love the standard bottling of scallywag and the scallywag cask strength #1 was fabulous so I have really high hopes for this dram.

Delicious stuff, this is a sure fire warmer no matter the weather, mass going for it with sweetness, sugary notes, tangy fruit pith and buscuityness the finish goes in forever too, amazing stuff.

Tasting Notes & Details

Ooft that's a big punch of sweet, sherry goodness right there, dried fruits, apricots specially for me, some sweet caramelised figs, citrus fruit pith that makes my nose tingle and almost sneeze, hints of pepper and nutmeg

Much lighter than the nose lets you think, dried apricots and millionaire shortbread, caramel, biscuit, and milk chocolate, hints of a tassimo caramel latte macchiato, sweet, juicy, fruity, chocolatey, caramel, yum

Grows, grows and GROWS it's sweet chilli sauce and dried apricots
