Fettercairn / Hunter Laing

Fettercairn 6yr (Hepburns Choice) Review

Fettercairn 6yr (Hepburns Choice) This bottle is part of the Hunter Laing Hepburns Choice 20cl range, which is a range of young, age statement, whiskies.

The hepburns choice range are bottled as 20cl and 70cl although there does sometimes appear to be a difference between the two in ages etc so I believe they may actually be different casks, at least sometimes, which are bottled either wholly as 20cl or wholly as 70cl bottles.

This 6 year old Fettercairn was matured, for at least part of it's life, in a quarter cask, which should give it more wood contact.

An interesting dram with lots to like, yes it's young, spirity and hasn't got a lot of wood influence, but it's definitely a nice drinkable young dram.

Available to purchase from Robert Graham 1874.
