Tomatin / Bresser & Timmer

Tomatin 2003 PX Finish (Bresser and Timmer) Review

Tomatin 2003 PX Finish (Bresser and Timmer) A fabulous PX cask Tomatin single cask bottled for Bresser and Timmer in the Netherlands at 58.5%.

This was a bottle share amongst friends and thanks to Ben (@ben_cops) from whom i pinched the pic of the bottle.

As a big Tomatin fan i loved this dram, it's got huge appley notes on the nose, and masses of punch on the palate, a great choice of cask and finish this is the type of dram i could easily sit and sip with all year round.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

A really strong note of sweet soft caramel covered stewed apples, rich sweet fruits with juicy plums and sherry soaked dried fruits, tangy and rich. With water the toffee stands up even more

Palate

Spiced tangy orange peel mixes with tropical fruit juices and caramel apple pie, tangy and quite hot with the ABV. Couple of drops of water and it takes it a little smoothing out the fire and adding more toffee notes.

Finish

Grows and grows, spiced apple turnover
