Aberlour aBunadh Batch 53 Review

Aberlour aBunadh Batch 53 I tasted this Aberlour aBunadh Batch 53 whilst at the Morning Masterclass at The Scotch Whisky Experience in March 2016.

It's been a while since i tried an Aberlour aBunadhwith Batch 45 being the last one I had a try of, which is really bad as these drams really do offer such fabulous value for money as well as a great drinking experience with nutty, fruity, sweetness. A definite must buy for any sherry cask lover.

Available online and in store at The Scotch Whisky Experience (although they only deliver within the UK) although it isalso available from most good specialists such as Master of Malt also.

Thanks to The Scotch Whisky Experience Who oranised for me to participate in this tour.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

yup this is a typical Aberlour aBunadh nose, with leather and tobacco mixing with raisins, sultanas, apricots and other dried fruits before a bag of mixed nuts gets opened and someone throws in some dark rich cake

Palate

this is spicier than i remember, with cinnamon and nutmeg leading the charge, tangy fruit peel and light gentle balloon rubber in there also, mixed nuts again and a demerera sugar sweetness

Finish

long lasting with nuts and dried fruits.
