Arran Circle Cask 42 Review

Arran Circle Cask 42 Thanks to Andy (@andysinc41) for the sample of this Arran circle single cask bottling from cask number 42 bottled 17 October 2007 bottle number 359 of 381.

I don't know much about this dram other than it being an Arran so let's give it a try.

The nose is typical Arran with a mix of sweet fruits and dusty notes which balance really well. The palate comes across youthful spirity but very very drinkable and the finish is seriously strong for such a dram.

If you can lay your hands on a bottle of this you won't be disappointed with it.

Thanks again to Andy (@andysinc41) for the sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

There's a real fruity sweetness here but a dustiness that comes too it's like dust covered jelly fruits and candyfloss its fresh and fruity but with that underlying dusty dub age warehouse type note lovely stuff.

Palate

There's quite a bit of youthful nip that hits first with spiced fruits, then talcum powder rolled jelly beans and jelly babies, with jellied fruits also yummy stuff

Finish

Long lasting dustiness and spiced fruits
