Westons / Westons Cider

Westons Old Rosie Review

Old Rosie I've seen this Westons Old Rosie a few times in my local supermarkets and finally picked it up to give it a try.

Matured in oak vats, which is instantly there on the nose, this interesting cider smells really tasty on the nose but the taste is just way to bitter for my palate.

It was real shock to my system, for those who like sour things this will likely rock their boat, it just doesn't for me.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Interesting nose here, it's lightly woody, oaky, then cloudy Apple juice, but something sweet in there too, fresh woody Apple core and seeds,

Palate

Tangy and bitter, almost a shock to the system, it's appley but really sharp, a bit too sharp for me

Finish

Sharp, dry, woody
