Scrumpty Dumpty Cider Review

Scrumpy Dumpty Another from my selection purchased at my local Dobbies garden centre is this Scrumpty Dumpty by Staffordshire brewery for Cottage Delight.

Expectation wise I'm expecting good things, masses of big apple notes and that that creamy yoghurty note I get from good scrumpy.

It's not a bad cider but not a spectacularly great one either, the nose is very light and the palate is a bit wishy wishy and too farmyardy for my liking, I really wouldn't pick up,another of these but wouldn't refuse one if given one also.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Like fresh apple notes, that sweet farmyard hay note comes in too, very light and fresh on the nose, not a huge about that jumps out and grabs my attention.

Palate

Very much has that farmyard hay note in here, not much of the fruity Apple notes I expect from scrumpy, it's not a bad cider, but I don't think I could drink a lot of it.

Finish

Light dry, disappears quickly
