Ardmore 1996 Distillery Labels (Gordon and MacPhail) Review

Ardmore 1996 Distillery Labels (Gordon and MacPhail Part of Gordon and MacPhails Wood Makes the Whisky campaign this Ardmore 1996 from their Distillery Labels series is an interesting choice.

I've had some fabulous Ardmore in the past and I am really excited about trying this dram and seeing what comes from it.

Oh wow this is tasty stuff, there's smoke, but it's puff candy and bonfire toffee, there's hugely toffee'd chewy sweet notes in here, this is a fabulous dram, and really shows what Ardmore can do.

Thanks again to Gordon and MacPhail for the official sample.

Oh, interesting nose, it's gently smoky, it's like puff candy and bonfire toffee, then sweet and juicy, figs and treacle scones, some bread notes, lightly toasted seashells

Palate

Sweeter than i was expecting, there's a puff of bonfire toffees crushed with stewed figs scattered on some scones, really chewy caramel peanuts and caramel, shortbread.

Finish

Sweet, juicy, chewy, yum
