Somerset Traditional Cider (Marks and Spencer) Review

Somerset Traditional Cider (Marks and Spencer) So I'm still hunting for ciders I can pick up locally and when finishing work recently I popped into the Marks and Spencer and picked up a couple including this Somerset Traditional Cider which it turns out is produced by the guys and gals at Sheppys.

Described as crisp and fragrant I wouldn't disagree with that, lots of lovely apple notes on the nose and palate and very much a tasty drink.

This would be a lovely cider for refreshing your palate on a warm summers night or for sitting enjoying with friends. Seriously tasty stuff.

Yet again Sheppys do,everything right and no wonder M&S picked them for this bottling.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Sparkling apple juice like appletizer like an apple shloer crisp and almost citrusy too, a hint of hay bales and woody apple cores also, some elderflower floral sweetness type notes too

Palate

Crisp and tangy, there's apples for sure and light tangy bubbles from the light carbonation, lovely sweetness without being overly so and citrus fruit tang coming through also

Finish

Slightly drying but tangy and that hint of bubbles still there, appley and delicious.
